Much homework is the antithesis of holistic learning because it
brings
the constraints and limitations of the education system into children's
homes. Instead of asking parents to teach their children something they
themselves know and are inspired by, we ask parents to fumble over
calculus
questions they haven't done for the past 20 years, or were never taught.
If
we respect children and sup****t a holistic learning experience, we must
realise they need time to "learn" to be part of a family and a community.
They must learn their responsibilities in helping to maintain a household
and participate in community life.
Homework in turn limits parents' growth by putting a restriction on
their
role in guiding their children's development. Homework impacts on the
amount
of time children and adults spend together. It means we lose the skills of
developing and maintaining our relation****ps. This is never more crucial
than during the teenage years as children are moving through developmental
stages and into adulthood.

Not to mention that the more homework teachers give, the less time
parents
have with their children.
It's destroying the family unit. I couldn't even go on a trip our
entire
family was going to go on because of the facist homework police aka the
average teachers assigned my kids. In two weeks vacation for the
holidays,
my daughter had a 300 page book re****t and had to see a tv show and do a
re****t on that.
Now teachers think this is going to help my children. Even though there
is no proof that homework helps children learn at all. None. It just
stresses the children out at an early age and causes fights and anger in
the
house hold which ofcourse the teachers don't need to deal with. When a
kid
acts up in school they go to the principle, or get detention or some other
punishment (why teachers are aloud to punish my children for wanting to be
children and play and enjoy life at an early age I'll never know.)
Anyhow me as well as other parents in my community are going to start a
buisness where people can hire older students and adults to do their
childrens homework. I'm going to push this to other communities. Just
because the nazi teachers of the world want to control our childrens lifes
outside of school doesn't mean I'm going to sit back and let them.
Teachers all over the world should be ashamed of themselves for ruining
the family lives of untold millions of people. DAMN ASHAMED!!!!
