ESD Australia, major distributor of GSMK Cryptophones, is now in the
final stages of preparation for expansion further into the Asian
market. ESD and Cryptophone already offer GSM, Satellite and Fixed-
line secure communications services to Australia and surrounding
regions. This expansion will allow more areas to benefit directly from
the Cryptophone secure voice communications products, protecting them
from unwanted telephone interception.
GSMK Cryptophone products are unique in the industry by providing
person-to-person secure communications over the GSM, Satellite and
fixed line telephone networks, using specially modified equipment
designed to enhance customer security. GSMK Cryptophone products
cover a wide range of networks and allow seamless interoperability
between GSM, Satellite and fixed line products, including VoIP - the
only product suite in the world to do so.
The first element of the expansion is the addition of new satellite
services. ESD Australia is pleased to announce that with the launch of
the Thuraya 3 satellite in January, more models will be made available
locally for use by our clients. The Launch of Thuraya 3 now provides
network coverage to clients outside of GSM range over the entire Asia-
Pacific region. The ability to utilise secure communications anywhere,
anytime is an added bonus for those working in more remote regions.
Cryptophone services on Thuraya are delivered using a Cryptophone and
existing Thuraya equipment with a docking cradle. A new Thuraya
Cryptophone is coming soon.
Additional expansion is now being achieved to other countries in the
Asia-Pacific region. ESD has now formally appointed agents in India,
Thailand & Brunei. The full suite of Cryptophone products will now be
available in these areas. Models include the G10i (Smartflip Mobile),
CP300 (Secure PDA), PSTN/1 (Desktop) and the Thuraya based models. ESD
Australia is also progressing with plans to appoint an agent in Japan
in the near future. Appointment of an agent in a country means that
local services have been deemed suitable to host Cryptophone services,
and there are no legal impediments to use of secure communications in
that country. ESD Australia is happy to provide assistance to
existing customers on how to configure and use their Cryptophone
devices in any country in which an agent has been nominated.
The combination of additional coverage via Thuraya's satellite
network, and the expansion of verified GSM network coverage and
sup****t mean Cryptophone is an even more compelling solution to
customers secure telecommunications needs than ever before.
