Brief Biography of the Organizer:
Dr Theodore Stergiou received his BEng (Hons) in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering from the University of Glamorgan, his MSc in
Telecommunication and Information Systems from the University of Es***,
and his PhD in Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK. His
research has been focused on communication protocol security issues for
3G systems. Consequently, his interests lay in the field of
telecommunication and wireless network security, advanced
packet-switched architectures, communication protocol design, protocol
security and network perimeter security issues. He is currently a
senior security consultant working for Virtual Trip Ltd. and a lecturer
of computer network systems at City University, Athens, Greece, for
which he also serves as the MSc tutor for the postgraduate course in IT
security. He is a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers
(IEE), UK, member of the WSEAS WG on Computers and also serves as an
active reviewer for the IEEE Communication Letters and the
International Journal of Network Security. Dr Stergiou has recently
become member of the IEEE Communications Society "Communications and
Information Security Technical Committee".
