compliance, today announced that University of North Carolina at
Pembroke (UNCP), one of the premier schools in the University of North
Carolina system, has selected its security appliance, Covelight
Percept, to protect the integrity, privacy and confidentiality of the
University's web-enabled information.
Percept will enable UNCP to police their critical web-enabled
applications with full-time usage surveillance to protect sensitive
information in the University from abuse and misuse. With Percept's
real-time detection and notification of usage policy and security
control violations and suspicious user activity, UNCP will be able to
protect sensitive data contained in three critical applications.

insure the integrity of student records, project and test submissions
as well as the privacy and confidentiality of personal and otherwise
sensitive information. Also, by detecting abnormal user behavior as
well as constructing an audit trail for detected incidents university
is able to insure its policies and access controls are working.
