Ademco Vista15P & 5192SD smoke detectors

All,

I just installed an Ademco Vista15P in my home.  The intrusion zones 2
through 5 are working
with the motion sensors and are not a problem.  However, I have two
questions...

1. Is there a compatible panic switch for this panel ?  The old Shack
brand switch throws the
alarm on this panel (I have zone 6 wired as panic).

2. The major issue I have... the two 5192SD two-wire smoke detectors I
wired in series
on zone 1 (with 2000 ohm EOL resistor on the low side as diagrammed in
the manual) keep
showing up with fault.  I removed the 5192s and placed an EOL across
zone 1, power
cycled the panel and no faults were re****ted... so the circuit at the
panel should be okay.
I wired up only ONE 5192 with an EOL, power cycled panel, and I get a
fault re****t again.

The 5192 DIP switches have not been changed from factory.. but the
manual doesn't say
what kind of addressing to use... SHOULD I USE THE DIP addressing, if
so.. any idea
what I should set the DIPS to ?  Or is there something else I should
be looking at here?
I double-checked the wiring and pos & neg are as they should be.  I
tested the EOL
and it is fine when compared to the rest... ~ 1.9Kohms
