MindFreedom Battles Eli Lilly in Court Today Over Secret Zyprexa

Grassroots Internet Campaign Continues to Defy Eli Lilly by
Distributing Secret Files
MindFreedom is scheduled to appear by teleconference in U.S. District
Court this morning, Wednesday, 3 January 2007 to defend the public
right to know the contents of secret Eli Lilly do***ents about their
psychiatric drug Zyprexa.
An anonymous grassroots campaign is continuing to defy Eli Lilly
attorneys by distributing their secret records about fraudulent
marketing and cover-up of hazards of Zyprexa. Eli Lilly has sought two
gag orders from the courts.
A PDF of a letter MindFreedom filed with Hon. Jack Weinstein, Senior
Judge for the US District Court Eastern District of New York is now
online and gives a preview of MindFreedom's arguments today. In the
letter, MindFreedom attorney Ted Chabasinksi says this to the judge
about Eli Lilly executives:
"While the underlying case is civil, what these do***ents show is
CRIMINAL behavior on the part of Lilly's executives. They have chosen a
course of action, lying about and hiding the real effects of Zyprexa,
that they knew would lead to the injury and death of literally
thousands of people. If this isn't criminal, I don't know what is."
