Well, hello!
I've recently discovered a mental mechanism that has given me the worst
pain and anguish
in my life. I thought a terrible thing was happening to me when
actually it was all a
mental illusion I made myself believe.
Let me give you a larger version about how this mechanism works.
Sometimes I wanna check if something is happening to me.
I'll give you examples.
I used to believe that smoking would make me feel like crap (low blood
pressure).
So once I smoked a cigar, a big one, and started getting all nervous at
the possibility
of feeling bad.
So, I check "do I feel bad?" YES! I answered. I thought I was feeling
bad because of the
cigar, actually, it was just all the nervousness of having that
unwelcomed state over me.
I didn't know that at that time.
Another example. I used to do drugs (no more).
So once I took a pill which was said to me would make you feel
confident, and in control
and energized.
So I take it, the friend who gave it to me went up his department to
get some things
(he's a doctor).
10 minutes later he's back. I tell him "I'm starting to feel it" cause
I was feeling all
powerfull and ****.
Guess what! He told me it takes around 1 and half hours for the effect
to start.
So... what I think made me felt like that is that a couple of days ago
I had *** for the
first time in my life and was feeling pretty much confident. So maybe I
decided it was
it.
ETC ETC ETC.
Lot more of examples.
So, why I'm asking help? Or what exactly I'm asking for?
Well, since I discovered that a feeling can be caused by multiple
factors, I'm
constructing a new tool to find out if "X" condition (wanted or not) is
met. Kinda like
brain programming :) .
I love the idea of NLP that humans work perfectly.
I you believed that something terrible was happening to you and you
feel terrible
worried, I think you are working ok.
My mind never worked wrong.
I just fed it with the wrong info :) .
If I tell you "if you see a rainbow you are gonna get blind" and you
believe it, you are
gonna feel like crap (that is, considering you never saw one before,
nor knew what they
are truly).
Something along those lines happened to me.
So any ideas to dispell the confusion, are welcomed!
