If you're familiar with Pre '32 gold coins, an old $20 gold  piece
contains 
almost an ounce of gold, and rivals a 50 cent silver (or laminated 
copper/nickel) coin.

Gold coinage was struck with gold @[EMAIL PROTECTED]
 $20.67/ounce.    Ten percent of the
gold 
piece is copper.
