I couldn't agree more, Andrew. But it seems "hoods", as we
used to call them, are are more glorified than priests, lawyers,
and politicians and you don't have to think very hard to know
why this is so. This is a difficult time to raise kids.
On top of this add an illegal immigrant population which begins
life in their new country by breaking laws, continuing to break
laws in order to remain in this country, and "Oh, by the way"
raising (and training) their kids while performing their various
illegal lives.
Spending only a little time thinking about how this effects the
minds and lives of these unfortunate children and how it affects
crime and peoples attitudes about crime may make you feel
the situation is hopeless; I sure don't have any solutions. But
I'm not the kind of person to stand around while others are
victimized; let them specialize in this type of life in New York
City (or other areas of massed humanity) where ignoring the
filth around you is a self-defence position, I can't live like that.
