Let me add one more thing,...
Jake, you're right about access. There's no parking on I-95 and the
parking
at the rest stop is "two hours only" and the Staties are just across
the
highway so I haven't tested that. Too bad as the Rest Stop is about
where
you want to be to be a public land.
The "Steve" I mentioned in the first post got permission to park at
the
townhouses just for asking nicely at the Rental Office - but that is a
real hike if you're heading down to the Bridge area. There's a dirt
road/trail off Cardinal Drive before you turn into the townhouses
that's
much closer but still a bit of a hike anyway. I've been in both ways,
more info if you want it.
