Keep in mind there are gold nuggets to be found in the pot holes in
the stream beds of the Potomac and Rappahanock rivers. The United
States Ford on up from the canoe rental could yield some excellent
prospecting on the Rappahanock. With the current low water
conditions, now is a very good time. Metal detectors would work well
for this.
