That's about right. I took a sluice back there once and got

That sounds familiar, and can check when I have the fast connection.
I'm doing a little job hunting right now. Anyway, there is a state
highway that crosses, with a boat ramp. I went upstream a ways, more
than 500 yards say. It's *deep* water wading, you will see bedrock
here and there, I set up shop near the confluence of a creek coming in
on the south bank. Decent color.
