Is this typical of the whole coastal plain? How about ocean deposits
such as large sandy areas? I am thinking of the New Jersey pine
barrens here.
Around me there is the Trenton formation which I think is gravel from
the ancient Delaware river, that is part of the coastal plain. But we
also have areas of unconsolidated gravels in the Piedmont west of
Philadelphia dubbed the Bryn Mawr formation, I suppose these are also
ancient river beds?
Just wondering.
