And probably Bull Run mine must be near Bull Run (DOH !) and
therefore
in the part of FFX Co. closest to P.W. Co. and other known locations.
Perhaps the Belt is overlaid by other deposits in much of FFX.Co.
Curious
though. Plenty of quartz in a local creek bed, but only tiny flecks of
mica
seen and no obvious pyrite at all although only did the briefest
survey in
just two locations. I will enjoy trying to find out more and encourage
any
feedback pro or con.
I also need to do some reading so thanks for the references. I still
am looking
for a detailed map of the Gold-Pyrite Belt in Virginia. The only one
I've found is
on the DMR web-site and is uselessly tiny.
