America's faltering economy has cut consumption by 
at least 5%.
There's the cause of the price drop.

Carter's energy plan thirty years ago would have 
accomplished the very same thing at a much lower 
cost than Republicans imposed on us.

Drill?  The oil companies wont drill anywhere 
right now. They can't sell sell the oil they 
extract. OPEC is going to but back. Our largest 
suppliers Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela will cut 
back, too.

We could have done it better, cheaper, and 
retained our dominance...then came Republicans 
starting with Reagan.
