A San Marcos police officer is nationally known this week for his
insensitivity to the two dog owners he pulled over as they rushed their
dying pet down Interstate 35 toward a New Braunfels emergency vet clinic.
The officer, Paul Stephens, didn’t know what he was getting himself into
when he clocked the couple’s vehicle allegedly traveling at 95 miles per
hour on the interstate at about midnight on Aug. 5. His dashboard camera
and audio recording caught him telling the driver that “It’s just a dog.
You can buy another one. Relax.”
The officer messed up right there and according to Associated Press
re****ts, the San Marcos police chief orally reprimanded the officer and
counseled him on improving his job performance.

This is BS. 95 mph at night is super-deadly and this idiotic couple could
have easily killed a bunch of innocent people. I hate cops but this one
was in the right all the way.
