Hot water heater question

by "BruceW..1" <sorry@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 20, 2004 at 02:22 AM

Does it help to prolong the life of a generic domestic 40 gal. electric
hot water heater by draining all the crud out of the bottom once a year?

I don't see how draining could possibly help to reduce tank corrosion.
But I've been wrong before, once anyway.

Thanks for your help.

Pardon the cross-posting, pretty low posting numbers in all of them.
