A Timer for Baseboard heaters?

by "Rob.....in Courtice" <me@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 12, 2008 at 10:00 PM

Hi All, I have baseboard heaters on the lower floor living room for
additional heating (the gas furnace blows down from the ceiling). The
kids
use the room in the evening for homework, surfing the net, etc. Problem
is,
the darlings have trouble remembering to turn down the T-stat when they
leave the room (strange as it seems).
My question is, can I put a wind-up timer on the wall (similar to a
hot-tub
or sauna)? Also, can I put the timer on the T-stat wiring (preferred) or
right at the 220V wires on the heater (220v = Scary). A nice 1hr timer
would keep everybody happy. Tanks

..........Rob
