What if (on cooperation)

by herbertglazier@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (G=EMC^2 Glazier) Aug 29, 2008 at 06:47 PM

Came up with this post watching fire ants floating down my street. It is
a colony of ants that are trying to survive. Here is the kicker at the
bottom of this raft are dead ants still locked together so that ants on
top can breath, and make sure it sacrificed itself that the hive lives
on.(Is hive the right word?) Well hive goes with bees and we know bees
give up their lives to protect their home(hive) Humans will rarely give
up their lives for others. Do ants bees warps realize only their DNA is
#1 Gladly give up their lives to give their genetic brothers and
sisters safety? Could I post that this is the highest act of social
behavior? As a kid I saw James Cagney in a war movie where he throws
himself on a hand grenade to save his buddies. A few months ago this
brave act again took place in Iraq. bert
